Not always. We hire both experienced renewable energy specialists and people with strong, transferable engineering or analytical backgrounds from adjacent sectors. What matters is technical rigour, sound judgement and a willingness to learn the renewable energy context. Graduate and early-career routes are described on our Graduate Careers page.

It means your analysis is not steered by a parent company's commercial interest. SgurrEnergy does not build projects, supply equipment or own assets, so there is no internal pressure to reach a particular conclusion. Your job is to assess the evidence and report it honestly to the client.

No. We work across wind, solar PV, BESS, hydro and hybrid projects, and many of our specialists contribute across more than one technology over time, depending on their discipline and interests.
